Countries characterized by low per capita income, high income inequality, poor health, and reduced life expectancy. They also have low productivity levels, unskilled labor, and limited technology. They have high population growth rates, high unemployment rates, and market imperfections, among other factors. Their average income is much lower than that of industrialized countries. Most of them are located in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
